Africa Support Update

Keeping you abreast to the support raising situation, I still have $2,000+ to raise in the next 5 days.  As a group we have raised a large sum, but still have a lot to trust for.  There is a fund raising road block that I must inform those of you who have wanted to donate.  In order for me to get paypal funds, it takes 3-4 business days to get the money into my account.  That means that everything that I transfer today will get to me JUST in time for my deadline.  The way to deal with this is that any funds that you want to donate to me need to be done by check that is sent as fast as possible (email me to get my address at princevince13@gmail.com).

Otherwise, if you donate through zaowater.com, the funds will be spread out to the whole group.  These must be done by April 15th.  I will still have expenses and funds to raise after the 15th, but the majority of the funds are due on the 15th and the rest by the 22nd.  If you want to donate to me at anytime before the middle of May, I will use those funds towards equipment that I will need to get.  The trip expenses that are due on the 15th/22nd cover only tickets, immunizations and visa costs.  If you have any questions, email me and I will clarify.

Thanks to all of you who have already donated, it has been abundantly encouraging for me and the rest of the team.

Urgent Need for Funds to Transform Kenya and Tansania

Greetings, and thank you in advance for your time and consideration of the following opportunity.  Throughout May and the beginning of June, I will be a part of a series of teams which will be deployed in two week segments to do humanitarian aide missions in Kenya and Tanzania in Africa.  For the last six months we have been training physically, emotionally and mentally for these trips.  Training has been focused to fit the specific challenges that the teams will face on these trips. This includes the confrontation of personal fears, mental barriers and emotional insecurities that hinder people from peak performance under high levels of stress. Along with this, we have been trained in basic first aid, CPR, land navigation and wilderness survival.

Our team will be deploying in partnership with Zao Water, a humanitarian aide, non-profit organization which provides clean drinking water to many African nations through the drilling wells and springs, while meeting other needs connected to clean water and sanitization.  We will be digging wells as well as providing sanitization training and many other services that the communities desperately need.  But before we can positively affect the communities we must get to Kenya.  This is where you come in.

Though our team has been raising money to reduce the cost of this trip, we still have much more to raise.  The price of the mission, not including personal equipment costs, is just over $3,000 per person or around $50,000 for the whole group.  The majority of this is due on April 15th due to the nature of the visa process. The actual deployment will be just weeks later in May.  This money will provide for air fare, visas, shots, immunizations and other essentials for the trip; no extra, frivolous expenditures.

If you are interested in helping me, donations can be made through my PayPal account (click here).  I greatly appreciate any and all support that you would like to give.  And thank you to those who have already donated connected to the marathon run, these funds have helped the process of getting me this far, but the end total is much higher than originally understood.

If you would like to find out more about ZAO, you may visit their website at www.zaowater.com and also may view their promotional video and a testimony of a transformed town

Thank you again for you time and consideration of this opportunity.  If you have questions or concerns, please email me at msm.sf.support@gmail.com  or princevince13@gmail.com and I will respond as quickly as possible.  Your support is a valuable piece in this mission.

Sincerely,

Vince Corcoran

Half Marathon Financial Support for Africa Trip

Greetings from Charlotte.  As many of you know, and some do not, I am currently at MorningStar School of Ministry.  One of the divisions of the school is the “Special Forces” which is essentially extreme missions training.  Since November we have been training physically, spiritually and emotionally for extreme missions situations.  Under the guidance of Steve Thompson and the other leaders in MorningStar Ministries, we have been trained in the discernment of spirits and hearing the voice of God very clearly for practical life situations.  We have also been going on “challenge trips” in which we are stretched emotionally and mentally so that if we are in hostile missions situations, we are not hindered by emotional and mental weakness.  Physically, we have been working out for 3-5 times a week, running multiple miles each time.  We are training for a half marathon on April 12th.  You are receiving this letter because all three of these things are coming together soon and I need your help.

At the end of the year, we will be going to Africa (most likely, the plans are still in the works).  This trip will cost a few thousand dollars.  Though I have been volunteering to reduce the cost of this trip, the volunteer reductions are spread evenly throughout the whole group.  One of the purposes of the half marathon is to give us a goal to shoot at, the other purpose is to help us raise money for Africa trip.  My goal is to not have to pay any money for the trip.  If I can get 10 of you to commit $10 per mile of the 13 mile half marathon, then I will likely not have any costs.  If 100 people commit $1 per mile the results will be the same.  To donate via PayPal, click here and follow the directions to support this trip to Africa.

Thank you already.

Financial Donations Needed – please consider

Just a quick request to those who are wanting to help support me.  I am part of training program with MorningStar School of Ministry, we are training for extreme missions.  At the beginning of December we will be going on a training hike, this will cost more money than I have.  There is a list of equipment that I have to buy before the trip, bottom line is that it will likely cost around $450.  If you want to help with that, click here and donate away.

Thanks so much

Financial Donations Now Available via PayPal

As a student at MorningStar School of Ministry, I have a full schedule. I have class four days a week, I am involved in the church ministry and am part of the “Special Forces” division of the school which trains the students in living more practical and radical lives in the Kingdom. In addition to these time requirements, I have ministry assignments, reading and writing assignments, there are four services per week at the church/ministry center and I must keep my heart before the Lord in love for Him. In the time still available I squeeze in my writing for this blog, which I am very dedicated to and enjoy desperately. This leaves very little time to work. If you would like to make a donation to help support me, click here.

Thank you very much for your prayerful support.

Vince
